Family Photo outfit options!

So, we've got everything set up to do photos this Saturday and that means I'll need to hit the gym and pick an outfit. I got some really cute tank tops that are for layering mostly (but no photos online from Old Navy of them). Today, I wore a white jersey skirt with the charcoal v-neck t-shirt with the green pattern tank underneath. I thought it was really cute. I know that I want to wear the charcoal v-neck for the photos and maybe some jeans but I don't know which tank to go underneath and then what to have the other 3 wear. I think I'll have Declan wear this really cute green polo onesie that has overalls with it (as a set) and I really like this blue shirt on Penny with her dark denim shorts:

Or should I wear a skirt?? And remember, I have this tank top in 4 colors:

Testing

So, I was going thru my closet and virtual closet(StyleBook) after seeing that I have most of the stuff on the guideline Wardrobe from Scratch start kit list from PuttingMeTogether.com. I am testing this new "mini-editor" from Polyvore to see if this will help me think of new outfits.

The only thing I see that I may tweak some more is patterned tops. Especially ones that'll work now that it's warming up again.

Wardrobe Editing

So, this year, following one of my favorite blogs, PuttingMeTogether.com, I came across a new series she's doing called Wardrobe from Scratch series. I put in a request to be spotlighted/advised as a pear shape mom-on-the-go. I have yet to hear one way or the other.

In the meantime, I'm trying to go thru this process very thoughtfully, as I want my clothes to be more mix-and-match friendly and I don't want to have stuff that I don't really like that much, not to mention the wasted $ factor. I'm only able to get a few things at a time, so right now, I'm doing a spring cleaning of sorts to get the mismatched and/or too small out stuff out so there's space for the better pieces.

Here is the list below, caption has direct link for more info.

I've chosen navy blue & gray as my neutrals, since I have a hard time with typical khaki colored pants(I hardly wear them when I had them). And I've chosen blue, green, and purple as my "secondary" color palette since a lot of people have told me these colors look best on me.

Next post will have what I've chosen so far, what's working or lacking, etc.

Life After Pregnancy Wardrobe

Here are a few things in my wish list that may come true soon:

Jeans from Target- the only pair that really fit thus far. I don't want to buy more jeans until I'm at the weight I want to be.

Old Navy button downs that I like that will work now while nursing and later when I'm done nursing,

A pencil jersey skrit that will be a nice staple.

Another shirt that will go with most everything and a black shirt that is nursing specific via Old Navy. Let me know what you think.
